1970 Plymouth Barracuda | was a planned release as "1997 First Edition #8"

This casting, designed by Dave Weise, portrays a 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda convertible; a hardtop variant was later derived from the same base tool. A small detail distinguishes the interior, with the driver's seat positioned slightly further back than the passenger's, and the underside is stamped "King Kuda." Entering the mainline in 1997, it has remained in the Hot Wheels lineup ever since, including under the "1997 First Edition #8" designation referenced for this release.
