Dave Weise's casting depicts the fifth-generation Chevrolet Corvette (C5), styled by John Cafaro and introduced in January 1996 for the 1997 model year as the first Corvette built on GM's third-generation LS engines — a 5.7-liter LS1 — and the last with pop-up headlights.
