Brabham Repco F1

The Brabham Repco F1 launched with the first-ever Grand Prix series in 1969, one of Ira Gilford's early castings based on the Repco-powered Brabham Formula One car. Designer Derek Gable is credited with basing an early prototype on a Lesney-Matchbox Lotus racer, and production Hong Kong versions typically carried black interiors and a silver-and-red Hot Wheels decal, with a rare chrome 1969 New York Toy Fair edition. In 1974 the same tooling resurfaced with new enamel paint and tampos under the name RASH 1.
