CAT Forklift

Larry Wood modeled the CAT Forklift after a 1970s-era Caterpillar V80C forklift, giving the casting forks that physically slide up and down a track molded into the mast, a functional gimmick typical of Hot Wheels' construction-themed workhorse castings. It debuted in 1980 and has been reissued across numerous industrial and construction-themed series since, including a 1996 mainline release.
