The Chevy 1500, a Larry Wood design for 1996 First Editions, is based on the Chevrolet Silverado C1500 as campaigned in NASCAR's Craftsman Truck Series, with the debut casting replicating the #70 G.T. Tallas race truck from the 1995 season. The model stayed in Hot Wheels' catalog for over two decades after its release.
