Chevy Stocker

Chevy Stocker was designed by Larry Wood and modeled on the 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Aerocoupe, a homologation special of which Chevrolet built only 200 units to satisfy NASCAR's rules for adopting its more aerodynamic bodywork. The diecast follows suit with race-prepped details including welded-shut doors, a roll cage, a stripped interior and reinforced window bars. This 1996 mainline release (toy #12924) predates a later 1990s retool of the tooling that saw limited further mainline use in 1997.
