Corvette Coupe

The Corvette Coupe is another of the Corgi-originated castings that briefly entered the Hot Wheels line after Mattel's 1989 purchase of Corgi, debuting under the Corgi name back in 1983 before appearing in the 1996 Hot Wheels mainline. It represents a mid-1980s Chevrolet Corvette and, despite superficial similarity to the '80's Corvette, is a distinct tool identifiable by its opening hood and lack of door-mounted mirrors. The base of the casting is stamped simply "Chevrolet Corvette."
