1969 #6269
Custom Police Cruiser
Custom Police Cruiser, designed by Ira Gilford for the 1969 lineup, was modeled on the full-size Plymouth Fury patrol cars common to the era and carried a star-and-"Police" graphic that marked Mattel's first use of tampo printing on a Hot Wheels car. The same tooling was reissued for 1970 as the Fire Chief Cruiser, representing the Fury-based prowl cars used by fire departments of the time.
