Evil Weevil

Evil Weevil, designed by Paul Tam, debuted in the 1971 Spoilers series as a hot-rodded take on Hot Wheels' earlier Custom Volkswagen casting from 1968, packing not one but two blown V8 engines into a Beetle body. The dual-engine gag became a signature of the casting, which has continued to reappear in reissues and themed series over the decades, including a 1996 release.
