Ferrari 308 GTS

The real Ferrari 308 GTS was a Pininfarina-styled, Scaglietti-built mid-engine sports car sold from 1975-85 as the targa-top counterpart to the 308 GTB, sharing componentry with the Dino 246 and 308 GT4; only 3,219 GTS units were built. Hot Wheels' casting originated as a Corgi tooling first released in the early 1980s, when it was also marketed tied to Magnum P.I., though the Corgi version lacks the U.S.-spec bumpers of the TV car.
