Ford Mark IV

Ford Mark IV, designed by Ira Gilford for the 1969 Grand Prix series, commemorates Ford's real Mark IV racer, in which Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt won the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans — the victory during which Gurney is credited with starting the tradition of spraying champagne over the crowd. The most common red enamel castings, with their black-and-white stripe and number "1" graphics, mirror that Shelby-American race livery, and a successor casting was later released as the '67 Ford GT40 Mk.IV.
