Heavy Chevy

Heavy Chevy, sculpted by Ira Gilford for the 1970 line and based on a '68 Camaro, was one of the original Spoilers series cars -- a grouping built around the gimmick of hoodless bodies with the engine exposed above the bay. Hong Kong-made cars carried pre-applied number decals from 1 to 9 and a small water-slide racing sticker sheet, and the model even appeared as artwork on a 1970 Jack in the Box drinking cup. Mattel revived the name with an all-new tool in 2002 that stayed in production through 2017.
