Lexus SC400

The Lexus SC400 was designer Bruce Baur's first Hot Wheels casting and also his first design produced using computer-aided design tools. It reproduces the Lexus SC (sold as the Toyota Soarer in some markets), styled by Erwin Lui and Dennis Campbell at Calty Design Research and powered in SC 400 form by a 4.0-liter V8; the real car remained in production until 2000. Hot Wheels released the casting starting in 1993 in metallic black, and it stood as the brand's only Lexus model for years until the Lexus RC F GT3 arrived in 2023, appearing along the way in the 1998 Showroom Specials and 1999 Alien Attack five-packs.
