1969 #6255
McLaren M6A
McLaren M6A, designed by Ira Gilford for the 1969 Grand Prix series, replicates the Can-Am racer Bruce McLaren developed for the 1967 season, which he and teammate Denny Hulme drove to a dominant championship sweep that year. The Hot Wheels casting has an opening rear hatch revealing a detailed engine and came with a sticker sheet bearing McLaren's number 4, offered in Spectraflame colors as well as an orange enamel finish matching the real car. USA and Hong Kong tooling differ in base detailing and glass tint.
