Mercedes-Benz C-111
The Mercedes-Benz C-111, a Larry Wood casting introduced in 1972, is modeled on Mercedes' experimental C111-II research car, reproducing its gull-wing doors and referencing the four-rotor Wankel engine that let the real car reach 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Early Hong Kong-built releases used Spectraflame paint and came on a Drivin' Gear card, while a red 1974 'Stars & Stripes' tampo version stayed in the catalog through 1978, after which the casting was retired.
