This casting represents the Mercedes-Benz Unimog, the real-world German utility vehicle known for its rugged, go-anywhere build, and Hot Wheels' version carries over a removable top as its signature play feature. It debuted in 1991 in white and red with Castrol tampo graphics, followed by a tan camouflage variant in 1993 and a gray-and-orange release in the 1995 Real Riders Series with smoke-tinted windows. It later appeared in the 1997 Street Beasts series with bear graphics and closed out the decade with red, black, and metalflake burgundy versions, all manufactured in Malaysia.
