Odd Rod

Designed by Larry Wood, Odd Rod imagines a 1930s roadster reworked into a dragster with a transparent front clip, likely the first Hot Wheels casting to use that see-through design trick. It debuted in the 1977 Flying Colors line in yellow and plum colorways with red flame tampos, ran through the 1978 Drag Strippers series, and closed out its run with real-rider-tired Mexican mainline releases in 1984.
