P-917

P-917 is Hot Wheels' depiction of the Porsche 917, the car that gave Porsche its first overall win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, designed by Ira Gilford. It debuted in 1974 under the name Porsche 917 before a licensing-driven name change to P-917, running through the Flying Colors and 1976-77 Super Chromes lines with its distinctive magenta-and-orange striped tampo.
