Pizza Vette

Pizza Vette uses the Corvette Stingray casting designed by Larry Wood, which first appeared in the Power Command series and, owing to that origin, is molded with a plastic body and no separate interior, with an opaque or heavily tinted window piece standing in for a cabin. It's modeled on the 1982 Chevrolet Corvette, complete with the flared rear spoiler and wraparound rear glass of that generation, making it the only plastic-bodied Corvette casting Hot Wheels has produced. Later reissues call it simply the '82 Corvette Stingray, though Mattel's Stingray badging is technically inaccurate since Chevrolet dropped that name years before this car existed; this 1996 Fast Food Series version (toy #15263) carries the Pizza Vette tampo.
