Police Cruiser (1996)

This Police Cruiser casting actually began life in 1991 as an unmarked civilian Holden Commodore, only gaining its law-enforcement identity in 1996 when Larry Wood's original mold was fitted with a separate plastic light bar over a molded roof cutout. Leftover details from its Australian origins persist even in the retooled version, including a 1989 date stamp on the base and a right-hand-drive steering wheel, an odd touch for a casting meant to depict an American squad car. Early releases included an Auto City Police livery and a companion Fire Dept. variant.
