Porsche Targa

This casting originated with Corgi rather than Mattel's in-house design team, inherited when Mattel absorbed Corgi's tooling, and it replicates the wide-bodied Porsche 911 Targa of the 1979-1980 model years. Of all the ex-Corgi castings folded into the Hot Wheels catalog, the Targa has arguably seen the most reuse, debuting in the Europe-exclusive Auto City line before crossing into mainline releases such as 1996.
