Power Pistons

Power Pistons, designed by Terry Choy for the 1995 Model Series, depicts a futuristic land-speed-record racer imagined as running a 6.0-liter V12, with a build built to actually perform well on Hot Wheels track sets. The casting was reworked in 2015, fixing the canopy in place, removing the side mirrors, and swapping its vertical twin exhaust pipes for side-mounted triple pipes integrated into the interior piece. It later appeared as car #21 in the Highway 35 anniversary storyline, driven by the fictional Esmeralda Sanchez of the Road Beasts team.
