Python

Python was modeled by Harry Bradley on Bill Cushenbery's Car Craft "Dream Rod" show car and was marketed in early 1968 advertising under the working name "Cheetah" before Hot Wheels settled on Python for the Original 16 release. It came packaged with a metal Collector's Button like the rest of the founding lineup. Brendon Vetuskey revived the tooling in 2018 for a Cheetah-themed retool.
