Ramblin' Wrecker
The Ramblin' Wrecker was designed by Larry Wood, who had been part of the Mattel design team since 1969, and the original tooling ran from 1975 to 1983 before a retooled version arrived in 2009 that remains in circulation. Early releases famously carried Wood's own phone number printed on the side of the truck bed, a detail later removed after he reportedly fielded hundreds of calls from kids and collectors alike.
