This Larry Wood casting portrays the original Range Rover, later renamed Range Rover Classic, designed by Spen King, Gordon Bashford, and David Bache as Land Rover's first true four-wheel-drive SUV when it launched in 1970 under the slogan 'A Car For All Reasons.' The Hot Wheels version debuted in 1990, was issued in two special colorways for a 1991 Cadbury promotion, and was retired in the 1999 Final Run Series, matching the real Range Rover's own production end in 1996.
