Ratmobile

Ratmobile is one of Hot Wheels' more novelty castings, portraying, quite literally, a rat riding on wheels. It first appeared in 1988 as part of the Speed Demons series in white on a ZAMAC base, and in 2011 the tooling was reworked from a three-piece body with a plastic motor to a single-piece body with a metal motor, both trimming assembly complexity and keeping the tail from drooping onto the rear wheel. Beyond its Speed Demons origins, it has reappeared as 'Off-Roadent' in 1990s Color FX packs and later in Color Shifters, Street Pests, and Mystery Models releases.
