Silhouette

Silhouette, one of Harry Bradley's designs for the founding 1968 lineup (the so-called "Sweet Sixteen"), is modeled on a real show car of the same name built by Bill Cushenbery in the early 1960s on a modified 1956 Buick frame, later touring with Ford's Custom Car Caravan before it was stolen in 1983 and never recovered. Despite its futuristic wedge styling, high production numbers make the original casting one of the more affordable 1968 Hot Wheels to collect. It was retooled in the early 1990s and again by Brendon Vetuskey in 2018.
