Solar Eagle III

Designed by Kevin Gray, this casting depicts Solar Eagle III, a solar-powered racer built in 1997 by Cal State LA's Solar Car Team as the successor to their earlier Solar Eagle and Solar Eagle II; it won the 1,230-mile, 10-day Sunrayce 1997, finishing 20 minutes ahead of MIT's Manta GT with no breakdowns.
