Sting Rod

Sting Rod is a Larry Wood casting first issued in the late 1980s, armored on all sides with plating and missile launchers to fit its battle-ready action-vehicle theme. It carried that design largely unchanged into its 1996 mainline release, and the tooling wasn't significantly altered until a 2010 switch to a plastic base and a further 2019 simplification that folded the pivoting missiles into the interior piece.
