Torino Stocker represents Hot Wheels' take on a NASCAR-style Ford Torino, blending styling cues from the real Torino stock cars that raced in the mid-1970s with details from the production road car. Released in 1975 alongside the Monte Carlo Stocker, it was tied for the honor of being among Hot Wheels' first NASCAR stocker castings, and the casting is generally attributed to Larry Wood's design work of the period.
