Twin Mill
Twin Mill is Hot Wheels' first fully original design, sketched from scratch by Ira Gilford for the 1969 lineup rather than adapted from a real car. The casting features a doorless canopy that lifts open from the top and two large big-block engines mounted side by side behind the driver. It returned in 1973 as a Shell station promo, and in 1976 the same unaltered casting was rebadged Twin Mill II for the Flying Colors and Super Chromes lines, a name Mattel later reused on an unrelated 1993 casting.
