Volkswagen

The 1974 Volkswagen, designed by Larry Wood for the Flying Colors line, is a substantial Hong Kong retooling of the earlier Custom Volkswagen body. An initial striped-tampo variation proved difficult to align on the production line and was quickly swapped for a simpler bug-on-the-roof graphic; issued in bright enamel orange, the casting didn't reappear until a 1980 Wisconsin Toy Company promotional release.
