Volkswagen Drag Bus

Designed by Phil Riehlman for 1996 First Editions, the Volkswagen Drag Bus reimagines a VW Type 2 bus stripped for drag racing, with a V8 engine and stinger exhaust pipes standing in for the rear seats. Riehlman cast his own initials, PR, into the rear differential housing, and at launch it was noted as the heaviest — and one of the most popular — castings Mattel had produced to that point.
